Pet Releaf: Independent Lab Tests Reveal False Claims
Pet Releaf: Independent Lab Tests Reveal False Claims
Pet Releaf is a CBD oil company that caters to dogs and cats but independent third-party lab results revealed that some of their products have less CBD than they claim.
Pet Releaf: The Highlights
- FALSE CLAIM ALERT: Pet Releaf claims their Butter Banana Edibites has 900mg of Full Spectrum Hemp Extract and 45mg of active CBD in one bag, but independent third-party lab results revealed those claims to be false.
- This not full-spectrum. It contains some CBD and CBDa but none of the other cannabinoids.
- Lab test results show only 33mg CBD (compared to claimed 45mg) and 45mg Cannabinoids (compare with their claim of 900mg).
- FALSE CLAIMS ALERT: Independent third-party lab test results of Hemp Oil 330 Tincture reveals only 120mg of cannabinoids (compared with the 330mg claim)
- Pet Releaf’s product line includes tinctures, capsules, edibles, and topical products. Farma Health has not tested other products.
- The company’s CBD oil pet products are human grade, which means humans can consume it as well. But we have not tested this claim.
Third-Party Independent Lab Test Results
Farma Health sent two Pet Releaf products to an independent lab. The results shocked us.
Peanut Butter Banana Edibites
The Edibites come in packs of 33 treats for your fur buddies. Farma Health editors decided to test two claims made by the brand on their website and product packaging.
- 45mg CBD in the pack
- 900mg active cannabinoids in the pack
The lab test result showed –
- 33mg CBD – 73% of claim
- 43mg active cannabinoids – 5% of claim
Based on these results, Farma Health does not recommend this dog treat option for your pet.
Our editors were shocked at this and we decided to test another product from their store. Keep reading.
Hemp Oil 330 Tincture
The Hemp Oil Tincture claims to have 330 mg of active cannabinoids. To our surprise, the lab test result indicates less than 120mg per bottle. This translates to 3.9mg per serving, as opposed to their claim of 11mg per serving.
Farma Health does not recommend this oil if you are looking for a full spectrum product. While it does contain as much CBD as it claims, but it falls short on other cannabinoids.
About Pet Releaf
Pet Releaf’s CBD products are made from hemp oil extracted from USDA certified hemp farm in the United States. Pet Releaf claims its products contain all natural, organic ingredients that supply pets with full-spectrum cannabinoids.
Pet Releaf state that their product effectively activates the pet’s Endocannabinoid System (ECS). When it activates the ECS, the body can tell the pet’s brain exactly where it needs healing and support. (Pretty much how the human’s ECS system works.)
All mammals have an ECS. The ECS is involved in almost every system in you and your pet’s body, from cardiovascular, digestion, relaxation, and even cognitive and memory functions.
The ECS is also a key factor in the mammalian body’s anti-inflammatory efforts. The ECS is controlled by receptors, which scientists call the CB1 and CB2 receptors.

Liposome Hemp Oils provides Organic Full Spectrum Hemp Oil extracted using a supercritical CO2 extraction method. Each oil provides a certain dose of full spectrum CBD and other kinds of beneficial cannabinoids.

CBD Oil Dosage For Pets
There is no set guideline for CBD oil dosage for pets. The following is a general estimate:
You need to know two things.
- How much CBD is in one dropper of your oil?
- What is the weight of your pet?
Additionally, 1 dropper contains 1 ml of oil.
A 30ml oil tincture with 300mg CBD will have 10mg of CBD per serving. To find how many mg of CBD will be in one serving you can do the following formula. Divide the total amount of mg by the number of ml in the dropper.
Pet Releaf: A Brand To Steer Away From
While Pet Releaf uses hemp from a certified USDA organic joint-venture hemp farm in eastern Colorado, the independent lab results proved that the company isn’t being truthful in its CBD claims.
If you’re considering giving Pet Releaf to your pet, keep in mind that they may not be getting the CBD amount the company claims it’s products have.
