CBD Vape Pen

A Buyer’s Guide to CBD Vape Pens for 2019

CBD vape pens are probably one of the fastest ways to introduce CBD into your system. However, the effects don’t last as long as with other forms of CBD.

If vaping CBD isn’t how you want to take CBD, Farma Health recommends trying CBD gummies from Not Pot, Sunday Scaries and CBD softgels from Niva CBD.

CBD Vape Pen: The Highlights

  • Vaping CBD is among one of the more popular ways of using this mysterious cannabinoid
  • People choose to vape CBD because it’s much healthier than smoking and is much faster acting than edibles or tinctures. The instantaneous effects make it easy to take the perfect dose for the moment.
  • CBD, in general, does not contain THC. At most, and in order to be legal, it must have at most 0.3% THC. Which is not enough to get a user high.
  • Vaping CBD can be used by people who are trying to quit smoking cigarettes.
  • When vaping CBD, a user will feel the effects almost instantaneously.

What Are The Benefits of Vaping CBD?

There are many different ways to take CBD, from tinctures to edibles to topical applications to vaporizing. So why would someone spend a small fortune on a vaporizer and inhale CBD rather than simply use an oil?

Effects Are Instantaneous

Whereas edibles and tinctures take some time to take effect, vaporizing CBD works instantly. Anybody who suffers from chronic pain or any other debilitating condition knows the value of a medicine that takes effect instantly. Vaping is the fastest way to get CBD into the body, making it easy to dose only when necessary.

Vaping is Healthier Than Smoking

Some people still aren’t ready to let go of the inhalation process when it comes to cannabis. That’s why vaping is awesome. It’s the same satisfaction without the damage to the lungs. Vaporizing is essentially the inhalation of vapor – there’s no real combustion taking place.

And of course, it’s much healthier to inhale vapor than it is to inhale the smoke of something that is burning.

Vaping is Reliable

We don’t always get the same effects from medicines when we ingest them orally. There are so many different factors which affect the way we are going to receive a medicine. For example, CBD edibles need to pass through the digestive system. Depending on what we’ve just eaten and how healthy our digestive system is that day, the effects can vary each time we take it.

Vaping is reliable in that it does not need to bypass so many of our biological functions to reach the brain and bloodstream. You can rely on more or less the same effects each time.

How to Vape CBD Oil

Vaporizing CBD oil is hands down, the easiest way to consume CBD. There is literally no need to worry about dosing. You inhale once and see how you feel, and keep repeating the process until you think you’ve arrived at the desired results. It is literally that simple.

Vaping starts with having some CBD vaping juice on hand. You can usually buy it at a dispensary or online, depending on where in the USA you live. These juices are made specifically for use in a vaporizer and contain varying concentrations of CBD. You load up your vaporizer with your CBD e-juice and you’re ready to go. There’s no real preparation required.

The only thing worth noting here if you’re a beginner to vaping is the temperature. Vapes often come with a variable temperature setting, and CBD has its own optimum vaporizing temperature. You should vaporize CBD at 410°F. Anything below this and you will only evaporate the terpenes.

Cannabinoids need a slightly higher temperature to evaporate than terpenes, but anything above 410°F can make the vapor too hot and hard to inhale.

The CBD Oil Vape Pen Starter Kit

CBD Vape Pen

If you’ve never vaped before and aren’t familiar with where to start, it’s worth looking into buying a CBD oil vape pen starter kit. It usually comes with the most important things for vaping: some CBD vape juice and a vape pen.

They are usually pretty affordable so that you try it out before spending a small fortune on a good quality vaporizer. Let’s have a look at the parts in a little bit more detail.

Vaporizer

When we talk about vaporizers, it can get a little bit confusing. There are two main types of vaporizers. The first is a portable vaporizer, such as a vape pen, and the other is a desktop vaporizer. A desktop vaporizer is not portable, as it’s huge and completely conspicuous. A bag fills up with the vapor from which you simply inhale.

Desktop vaporizers usually use buds rather than oils and liquids, although some desktop vaporizers can accommodate for both.

If you purchase a CBD oil vaping kit, it will almost always come with a vape pen. It’s highly unlikely that these kits are ever soled with desktop vaporizers.

Vape Pen

A vape pen is becoming more and more common in the world of vaporizers. They are small, fit in your handbag and are completely inconspicuous. They run on batteries, so you can charge it up and head out to work, college or social events. They are extremely easy to use, simply requiring the user to inhale from the mouthpiece.

In general, vape pens are not very sophisticated pieces of technology. They do the job but don’t allow for any settings to be changed. This is totally convenient when you’re just starting out because more comprehensive vaporizers are quite expensive.

It’s worth trying the vape pen in the kit before jumping into any purchases that might give you buyer’s remorse.

CBD Vape Oil

The second thing you can expect in a vaping kit is some CBD vape oil. Typically, CBD oil is way too thick for vaporizing. Something is usually added to the CBD oil to make it thinner and therefore make it appropriate for vaporizing.

A good CBD vape oil still has a lot of terpenes and aromas in it, and vaping should be quite the aromatic and tasty experience. Some companies add flavoring agents to their CBD vape oils to make them more delicious for those don’t particularly like the taste of cannabis.

The CBD Vape Pen To Try in 2019

There are a lot of vape pens and vaping kits on the market. So we’ve taken the liberty of weeding out the best ones so that you don’t have to spend a fortune finding out which one is really the best. Here is our list of the best vaping pens to try in 2019.

And if you don’t want to vape CBD, but would prefer to take orally, Farma Health recommends hemp oil capsules from American Shaman.

Pure CBD Vape Pen

The Pure CBD Vape Pen is simple to use, affordable and highly discreet. At $19.99, this vape pen makes everything pretty easy. It can’t be used with CBD vaping oils over 800mg, but anything below that will work just fine. This pen is so easy to use, there isn’t even a button you need to press to draw.

Simply drawing from the mouthpiece turns the vaporizer on. Charges via USB and takes about 2 hours to fully charge. You can’t use the Pure CBD vape pen with cartridges made by Hemplucid or For The People.

Vape Bright

Vape Bright have launched their starter kits which contain everything you need to start vaping CBD oil. The cartridge is preloaded with 200mg of CBD, delivering at least 1mg CBD per inhalation. In the box, you get the vape pen, a cartridge, a battery, and a case. This starter pack costs $55, making it easy on the hip pocket. Interestingly, Vape Bright don’t use any other carrier oils in their CBD vaping juice.

There’s no thinning agent like we mentioned before.

However, Vape Bright doesn’t give any details on where their plants are grown and what methods they use for testing. This is the one thing that Vape Bright could improve on. With that aside, this pen is easy to use and easy to refill with Vape Bright cartridges.

Select CBD Vape Pen

Select manufactures pre-loaded disposable vape pens. That means that you don’t ever actually buy and refill a vape pen. Rather, you ditch the whole thing once you’re done and buy another one. Each one costs $45 and they come in different varieties. Select’s “Relax” vape pen contains CBD oil and lavender or cinnamon, designed to help you relax.

Their “Focus” vape pen contains CBD and spearmint or peppermint, depending on your taste.

Finally, the “Revive” vape pen is made with CBD oil and grapefruit or lemon. According to Select, each 3-second inhalation releases 1.5-2mg of CBD. However, they don’t specify how much CBD is in each cartridge as a whole.

Healthy Hemp Oil CBD Vape Shot Kit

Healthy Hemp Oil stocks Alternate Vape’s CBD Shot Kit. This starter kit comes with everything you need to start vaping CBD. In the box, you get a vaping cartridge, the vape pen, and a charger. The whole package costs $49.99, putting it among the cheaper of the vaping kits. Each cartridge contains 1ml of CBD oil containing 250mg CBD. Extra cartridges can be purchased for $29. There are three flavor varieties available form Healthy Hemp Oil, including Cirus, Mint, and Kush.

CBDFx Vape Pen

The CBDFx Vape Pen is another of the disposable vape pen kind – not designed for keeping. Once you’ve finished what’s in the cartridge, you can turf the whole thing and get another. Each CBDFx disposable vape pen contains 30mg of CBD and up to 300 inhalations.

It’s not the highest concentration compared to some other vape pens we’ve looked at, but this one clocks in at $14.99, making it the most affordable disposable CBD vape pen we have talked about. It is precharged, so you can literally use it straight out of the box.

CBD Vape Pen: The Final Word

The ability to vaporize CBD has opened up a whole new possibility when it comes to consuming cannabis. The fast delivery of cannabinoids makes all the difference for someone who suffers from anxiety or chronic pain, and it’s a much healthier way to get cannabinoids in the body.

If you’re new to it all, it’s really worth starting out with a vaping kit or with a disposable vape pen. However, once you’re confident that you’d love to continue vaping CBD, it’s worth upgrading to a better quality portable vaporizer.
